Collectors Album Women's European Championship 2022

Collectors album for the 2022 Women's European Championship in England

KICK-OFF 2022

Kickoff! The tschutti heftli collectors album for the Women's European Championship 2022 premieres. Kickoff gala with the artists, other guests, and of course the brand-new stickers. Hosted by Seraina Degen (SRF), Show Act: Naomi Lareine.

Supported by Migros Kulturprozent.

CONTEST & JURY

"Believe in yourselves!" That was Ada Hegerberg's message to all young female footballers at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony. In 2018, she became the first woman to win this award. In 2021, the prolific striker will be the focus of our illustration competition. To be part of the album for the 2022 Women's EURO in England, artists are invited to draw a portrait of the Norwegian player.

We received over 180 submissions, from which our jury, consisting of Florence Lloyd-Hughes (Sports Journalist & Broadcaster, London), Stefanie Sargnagel (Author & Illustrator, Vienna), Seraina Degen (Sports Journalist, Basel), Lia Wälti (Footballer, FC Arsenal), Hilar Stadler (Curator, Lucerne), and Sebastian Hotz (aka El Hotzo, Author & Podcaster, Berlin), had to select 16 illustrators who will shape and define the next tschutti heflti with their style. One thing we already know: It will be beautiful once again!

Sustainably & Fairly Produced

To contribute to a more sustainable society, we produced the tschutti heftli collectors album for European Championship 2022 as locally as possible. The album and stickers were printed in Switzerland by Vögeli Druck, the world's first printing company with a Cradle to Cradle certificate - using only substances that can safely be returned to the biological cycle.

Also, tschutti heftli is pioneering new methods in packaging. In collaboration with the Ateliers for Women - a workshop for work and education affiliated with the SAH Zentralschweiz - the entire production process has been revamped. The association now focuses on upcycling: Collectors albums from the 2020 football European Championship, which could not be sold due to the pandemic, were repurposed into bags and hand-filled with stickers by the Ateliers for Women and by inmates of the Justizvollzugsanstalt Grosshof (Grosshof Correctional Facility).

The FI9 support association was founded in August 2019 in memory of the unfortunately deceased friend Florijana Ismaili (former BSC YB and Swiss national team player). FI9 stands as an abbreviation for Florijana Ismaili and her jersey number at BSC YB Women's team. To continue Flori's wish, the support association was established, which offers low-threshold football opportunities without performance pressure, allowing girls and young women to experiment freely and enabling them to participate in society.

The offer includes nine support training sessions annually at six locations (Bern, Basel, Lucerne, Solothurn, Staad, and Zurich), as well as two FI9 Girls Football Camps in summer and autumn (Solothurn, Zurich), and a summer tournament in June and an indoor tournament in December. It is aimed particularly at girls and young women aged between 6-15 years (camps) and 9-20 years (support training). Everyone is welcome, whether with or without a license.
